Filippi

A Seaside Gem on Korčula's Historic Promenade
There are restaurants you visit, and then there are restaurants that stay with you. Filippi falls firmly into the second category. Nestled along the Old Town promenade, this enchanting spot had me captivated from the moment I settled into my seat beneath the towering Calabrian pines.
The Setting
The view alone is worth the visit – the Pelješac channel stretches out before you, dotted with islands from the Korčula archipelago. As the sun began its descent, painting everything in golden light, I found myself completely at peace. The ancient pines provide natural shade and fill the air with that unmistakable Mediterranean scent.
The Food
Chef Ivan Uglik is a true craftsman. His Mediterranean cuisine is classic yet thoughtful, letting quality ingredients speak for themselves. I was absolutely smitten with the sea bass fillet – perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with mashed peas, fennel, and potatoes. Whether you choose the five-course tasting menu, a shorter à la carte selection, or even the vegan option, you're in excellent hands.
The Wine
Don't overlook the wine list – it's small but lovingly curated, highlighting lesser-known producers from Korčula, Hvar, and Pelješac. It's the perfect opportunity to discover local varietals you won't find elsewhere.
If you're seeking an unforgettable evening of refined Dalmatian cuisine with a view that dreams are made of, Filippi delivers beautifully.
